East Anglia’s Galloway Coach Travel has won National Express’ top award for engineering standards for the second year running.

Engineering staff at Galloway were presented with a real golden spanner, an award for National Express’ partner operators who achieve exceptional engineering standards.

The award is a recognition of the high standards of fleet maintenance achieved over the past twelve months by Galloway’s Workshop Manager, Gary Walkden, and his team.

Alastair Coxon, Head of Contracts, at National Express said: “There are only 26 engineering teams across the National Express network who hold the gold standard so this is not an easy award to win. The team at Galloway should be incredibly proud of their hard work over the past year. I’m delighted I could deliver the spanner in person.”

Galloway have been managing National Express routes for over 25 years and currently run two routes on their behalf – the 481 between Ipswich and London and the 250 between Ipswich and Stansted and Heathrow airports.
