National Express takes Team Wales to the World Cheerleading Championship in Florida

Team Wales on their way to Heathrow Airport to compete at the World Cheerleading Championships in Florida
The UK’s favourite coach company is supporting Team Wales by providing the Gymfinity Sports Academy’s ‘Ladies of the Crown’ all-girl elite cheerleading team with coach travel to Heathrow Airport as they make their way to the World Cheerleading Championships in Florida.
The competition will take place from Wednesday, 19th April to Friday, 21st April, featuring some of the best cheerleading teams from around the world including, The USA, Australia and Japan.
Performing on a global stage and representing Wales, this year's team consists of 83 talented athletes who have been training and perfecting routines and stunts for the past four months.
The team has also ramped up the number of training sessions, with more than two sessions a month and training scheduled to take place in Florida. Team Wales is pulling out all the stops to bring home the trophy.
When approaching potential transport providers, Paul Reed, Programme Director at Gymfinity Sports Academy said: "We are so thrilled that National Express is supporting us on our journey to compete at the Cheerleading Championships in Florida. As a team, it was really important for us to partner with a public transport provider that values both sustainability and the role that grassroots and elite sports can play in bringing communities together.
