Troops disembark the Durham buses at Salina Airport
On Saturday, 5 February, 2022 an airplane carrying 200 military troops had to make an emergency landing in Salina, Kansas, U.S.A. Salina Airport Authority called General Manager, Kevin Kuder, at 9:30 PM and asked for help. He and Safety Supervisor, Christine Weigel, contacted four other drivers to assist in transporting 200 troops to several local hotels to stay the evening due to unexpected landing.
Our drivers picked them up, drove them to their motels, came back the next morning, and returned them to the plane to be able to continue to their destination. It took less than an hour between the phone calls, getting five buses, and coordinating all details.
