Late night, weekend travel connections to and from the UK’s capital have received a welcome boost, thanks to National Express.
The UK’s largest coach operator has added a number of new services to its national network, providing early morning departures from London Victoria Coach Station direct to Cardiff, Nottingham, Leicester, Swindon, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath.
John Boughton, Commercial Director at National Express, said: “Options for late night weekend travel from London have been limited. Our new services allow travellers to spend longer in the Capital, whether it’s for work, visiting friends and family or a leisure activity; without the worry of how to get home or the added cost of an overnight stay.”
“We already operate over 2,700 services a week to and from London to locations across the UK - and last year, we saw an 10% increase in passengers through the city. We’re confident this will offer even more people quick, easy and affordable transport.”
National Express passengers benefit from a guaranteed seat, air conditioning, access to films, TV and magazines through a complimentary onboard entertainment app, as well as power sockets and free WiFi.
The new services which will run in the early hours of Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays are the 501 to Cardiff, 451 to Nottingham and Leicester, 443 to Swindon, Gloucester and Cheltenham and the 041 to Bristol and Bath.
