A bloomin’ great bus service

Stemming from the success of previous years, Xplore Dundee is once again running special Service 53 to Camperdown Park for the annual Flower & Food Festival.
This year, the bus operator has pruned the schedule, with journeys running every hour on the Friday and every half-hour on Saturday & Sunday.
It’s not your garden-variety bus service, with city centre pick-ups at the High Street (H1), Commercial Street (F1) and Ward Road. There's also a transfer point at Lochee High Street, where customers can join the 53 from services 9/10 and 28/29. The route runs right into the park itself, dropping passengers off just metres from prize veg, beautiful blooms and a huge range of tasty treats.
There’s also a great crop of tickets to suit everyone attending this popular local event:
- For those planning to go to the festival on Saturday and Sunday, there's a WeekendSaver for just £7. It's available & valid from 6pm on Friday until last bus on Sunday, on any service in the network
- Friends and family can travel together, with up to five people valid on a GroupSaver. This starts from just £6 on the mTicket app (or £8 on-bus)
- The traditional DaySaver (£3.50 on the app, or £3.70 on-bus) offers travel on all buses, all day
- All tickets are available to buy contactless - which means just a beep of a card to get on the bus
The Flower & Food Festival will be held at Camperdown Park on Friday 6, Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 September. For opening times and other info, visit dundeeflowerandfoodfestival.com.
