Xplore Dundee is pulling on its Santa suit and getting ready to Dash around Dundee this weekend!

The bus operator is offering free travel to anyone taking part in the city’s second Santa Dash, taking place this weekend (Sunday 2nd December).  The event will see participants running or walking 2-4km around the city centre in aid of the Archie Foundation.

Managing Director Christine McGlasson said: “This is a great event for a fantastic cause and we’re very happy to support it once again.  Anyone wearing the red suit will be able to get on board a bus to the city centre for free to join in the festive fun.”

Ward Road and Commercial Street will be closed from 8am until 1pm on Sunday 2nd December because of the Santa Dash, affecting a number of routes and bus stops, so customers are advised to check the full diversion details before travelling.

Santa Dash organiser Garry Smith, from Leisure and Culture Dundee, said: “I can’t thank Xplore Dundee enough for helping our Santas get to the city centre and for sponsoring a prize on the day itself. Going by bus is the easiest and quickest way to get into town on Sunday – avoid car parking and let Xplore Dundee get you there safe and sound!”

Xplore Dundee’s own Santa Bus is also back in action for the festive season, complete with interior decorations, and will be serving various routes across the city until the New Year.
